About Captain Joe McNichols
Captain Joe was born in South Florida in 1954. Since that time he has lived in Naples and was fortunate to start fishing in the early 60's, growing into his passion. Joe became a professional fishing guide in 1983 and has guided full-time ever since.
Captain Joe has fished in numerous charity fishing tournaments over the years and has an impressive list of wins an outstanding catches. Joe's knowledge and expertise of the waters in Southwest Florida and fishing have made him the subject of numerous magazine articles, nationally televised fishing shows, and mentioned in books.
Captain Joe is as happy guiding a first time angler of any age, as a well seasoned light tackle or fly fishing expert. His patience and unassuming demeanor have won over many clients that come back year after year—some for over 20 years.
Joe is also an avid birder and is happy to point out the many rare and unusual species in the Everglades National Park.
